Josh, the guitar and Kevin the Rabbit

O spotkaniu z Joshem i jego mamą, o tym, że mój tata udzielił Joshowi lekcji gry na gitarze, że jedliśmy naleśniki i świetnie się bawili oraz o moim nowym króliku Kevinie.

You must remember Joshua. He and his mum came to see us this morning. We had pancakes, which has always been our tradition, and Josh and I played a few games together.
Later Josh got a guitar lesson from my daddy. I couldn't understand why he didn't want to learn from me. I play it all the time.
He looks professional, don't you think?
A moment before that photo was taken, I found out that Josh and his mum had to leave within a few minutes. It was not easy to smile at the camera as I didn't want them to go just yet. Anyway, that's us three and those extra ears belong to Kevin the Rabbit. Thanks, Josh!

10 months old

O tym, że mam dziś dziesięć miesięcy, że zaczęłam otwierać i zamykać szuflady, robić pa-pa i klaskać, że bardzo lubię czytać do góry nogami, zaglądać do kibelka i uciekać z przewijaka.

I am 10 months old today and some of my latest skills include
  • opening and closing drawers
  •  waving bye-bye
  •  clapping
I also like to read books upside down, reach for objects that are on the edge of desks and tables, look into the loo and run away from my changing mat.

I'll be one before you even know it. :-)

Life goes on

Ok, it's nearly two weeks since my last post. I am not trying to explain myself here (maybe a little...) but there have been a few good reasons for it.

First of all, I've been moving a lot lately so it's not easy to take photos of me. Whenever my mummy is ready to shoot, I am literally in front of the camera within seconds. I just feel the urge to touch it as I'm into everything that's high-tech these days.

Secondly, shortly after my grandparents left I had a big fall that left a mark on my cheek. You don't really want to pose for a photo looking like this, do you?

What is more, time just sometimes gets away from me these days. I can be so involved with whatever I'm doing that I don't always remember to take photographic evidence and I'm so tired afterwards there's no time to go online and post stuff. Sorry!

Anyway, here are a few moments from the last few days. Some lovely people have been complaining about the blog being quiet so here you go.
It was great to see auntie Lucy in Croydon last week. You can't see it here but she's carrying a huge bump with a beanio inside. We are all expecting very good news within the next few days. By the way, can you see the mark on my cheek?
My old pal, Charlotte. Our daddies finally had a chance to meet up and sing a few nursery rhymes together. Charlotte is already planning her birthday party and I received an invitation from her. I need to think of a nice pink dress I am going to wear for that occasion.
We also tried a new class called Baby Sensory and although I was having a good time there (I especially enjoyed that walker in the photo) we decided not to go back as we are already doing quite a few things and both mummy and I need a day off from time to time.
Two of my favourite spots these days. Which shall I go after first? Daddy's guitar or the plant? :-)
I like to help my parents load and unload the dishwasher on a regular basis. If you could only see me in action!
I had a break from swimming last weekend due to my cough but we jumped into the pool this afternoon. I can hold on to the bar on my own now.
After all the hard work I like to doze off.
One more photo from grandparents' visit. I'm on the verge of crying here but the truth is I was really enjoying being carried by grandpa.
An up-to-date photo of me. I scratched my head while trying to pull my hair. I'll be 10 months in two days. :-)

The weather forecast says worst storm in years so we are feeling a little apprehensive since we live on the ground floor after all. Fingers crossed it won't be as bad as they say and no-one gets hurt!

Thank-you letter to Grandparents

Dear Baba and Dziadzia,

It was a truly wonderful week! I had such an amazing time with both of you. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Thank you for the following
  •  changing my nappy - you got the hang of the  complicated process super fast
  •  bathing me
  •  playing peekaboo with me - you were always so much fun!
  •  making sure I wasn't going to get hurt while exploring our flat - I didn't :-)
  •  sitting next to me in the car - it wasn't always easy...
  •   reading books to me - both in Polish and English
  •  having a laugh with me at the kitchen table - so much that you could actually see all my five teeth
  •  helping me fall asleep - even when it sometimes took a while
  •  making sure I always had warm clothes on
  •  carrying me in a sling - it was lovely to be so close to you
  •  going with me to my swimming class - I had the best support team ever during my diving attempts
  •  and many more!
Please come back soon.

Lots of love,
Your granddaughter Natalie

My dear grandparents

I am so excited! My grandparents are staying with me this week, hurrah! I have finally met my grandpa Andrzej and he's lovely. It's great to catch up with nan, too.
So far we have been to Rhyme Time at the library, a baby sign language class and we have also had a nice stroll in the park. We are planning to go to a nearly new sale where I am hoping to get a few little gifts and a swimming lesson this weekend.
I am very grateful that they came to see me. I feel blessed to have them in my life. I love them and they love me.

Strawberry hat and first shoes ever

Hope you all had a great weekend. I did. :-)

First of all, I'm feeling much better.
Second, I had another great swimming lesson on Sunday. We went underwater a few times and this time I managed to stay calm.
What is more, Fiona, Inga and their parents paid us a flying visit. The girls were so lovely to me, I just love watching my big sisters. :-)

We were so busy there was literally no time to take photographic evidence. But then here is me sporting a cute strawberry hat I got from our friends. I heard parents talking about visiting Fiona and Inga soon and I really hope it happens in the near future!

In that photo I am also wearing my first shoes ever. Thank you, auntie Kully for the pretty gift!
