We went camping

We went camping for the first time!
It was only one night and the camping site was actually in London but it was amazing anyway.
I sat around a bonfire and tried hard to stay away from the smoke. I went so crazy about baked potatoes that I managed to burn my lip with one, which wasn't nice at all. Sleeping in a tent was an interesting experience that I hope to repeat again and again! We ended the trip with a visit to the woods the next day.

Pick your own

That is how I spent this afternoon.
 Eating strawberries!

We found a farm nearby where you can pick your own fruit and veg. It sounded yummy so we decided to go and see for ourselves.
The great thing was they still had strawberries on the farm!
Dad kindly gave me a few.
But he also told me how to look for them.

Carrying the baskets was fun, fun, fun.
There must be some more strawberries around...

Then we moved on to French beans.
The last stop was sweetcorn.
These are strawberries.
And those are French beans.

I had no idea that fruit and vegetables grow on farms. Before visiting our farm I thought it was Sainsbury's. Now I know! :-)

A lovely afternoon in Leamington Spa

Summer Bank Holiday weekend is finished. We decided to spend it with auntie Natalia in Banbury. Sadly, the girls and uncle Tomek were away this time. In order to cheer ourselves up, on Sunday we drove to a most beautiful park in Leamington Spa.
There were squirrels, maple noses and a lake there, though I admit that not everyone wanted to go on a boat!
I always look for interesting sticks and pebbles.
Some time later we bumped into a band who played swing songs so I couldn't help myself dancing and clapping. There were plenty of elderly people sitting in folding camping chairs, sunbathing and rocking to the music like me.
Auntie Natalia and I played with a stick and I have a feeling she may have enjoyed it more than me. :-)

We are plant eaters

Recently more and more people have been commenting on my love of green beans and broccoli.
We are plant eaters and we are loving it.
We do it for the animals and the environment, our bodies and our minds.
We definitely do not starve ourselves!

Whitstable to Herne Bay

We couldn't stay away from the sea for too long after the fantastic trip to Camber Sands last weekend.
This time we drove to Whitstable, which is a lovely seaside town in Kent, and cycled to Herne Bay nearby.
Some of the views during our bike trip.
We took a break halfway through to get our feet wet and ...
play with pebbles.
They were everywhere. I was wondering where all the sand was gone.
Can you see the state of my hair? It was a very windy day!
Kully, my parents' friend, was with us and she's great to be around. Visiting a shingle beach is becoming our little tradition now as last year we all went to Brighton. Where shall we go next? Any tips for us, dear blog readers?
